Examinations
What is done during an examination?
During an examination, we will check the health of teeth, gums, tongue and other tissues in and around your mouth. This includes detection for dental decay, gum disease, oral cancer, tooth wear, and functional or cosmetic issues.
We can also discuss any specific concerns you may have.
A treatment plan will then be discussed with you once all information has been collected and we will provide you with all necessary advice to maintain a healthy mouth.
How often do I need a check-up?
This depends on you risk category, however it is usually every 6 months. Your dentist will advise you on your recommended check-up intervals.
When should my child have their first check-up?
As soon as you see the first tooth pushing through.
