What are veneers?

Veneers are thin shells which cover the outer surface of a tooth. The advantage of this over crowns is that there is minimal shaping required of the tooth.

What are veneers for?

Veneers can be used to:

- align teeth

- fill spaces between teeth

- improve aesthetics and function of damaged teeth

- improve aesthetics of severely discoloured teeth

What types of veneers are available?

You can have composite or porcelain veneers. Porcelain veneers have the advantage over composite because they are less prone to staining, look more natural and are more durable.
